Preparing for your appointment

We kindly ask you to follow the requirements below for your visit.

YOUR DOCTOR MAY DILATE YOUR PUPILS WITH DROPS DURING AN EXAM. The drops cause some light sensitivity and blurry vision for about 4 hours or longer depending on type of drop used. Reading up close may be difficult from some time after dilation. Please bring sunglasses to your appointment. While many patients feel comfortable enough to drive home after the appointment, it is safest to arrange for drop-off to your appointment and pick-up

CONTACT LENS WEARERS: come in wearing contact lenses for full eye exams. Bring your own case & solution.

PRIVATE INSURANCE: If you are expecting your private insurance to cover non-OHIP charges for exams, services and purchases, please check your insurance eligibility AHEAD OF TIME and FOR THE DATE that these will be provided or made. To avoid surprises, we urge to you to verify this with your insurance provider before coming in even if a prior submission was done at our office as frequency of coverage and types of services covered varies depending on the provider and are subject to change. If claims are declined by the insurer, patients are responsible for payment for any services rendered and or supplies provided.

TO AVOID FEES, kindly give 24 hours notice for appointment changes.
